College represents the first time student will live away from home. They learn to budget their time, manage their finances, and make their own decisions — they begin to discover what it takes to become an independent adult. But students who choose not to attend college can and should learn independent living skills as well.
Project Independence provides free workshops to help parents who have children with disabilities learn about options for their children once they leave high school. The project also trains youth from ages 14-21 about their options after high school.
