The Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provides health coverage to eligible children, through both Medicaid and separate CHIP programs. CHIP is administered by states, according to federal requirements. The program is funded jointly by states and the federal government.

Providing services to children and youth with special health care needs from birth to 21 years living in Colorado, who have or are at risk for physical, developmental, behavioral or emotional conditions. HCP has no diagnosis or income restrictions and most services are free. Services provided include information and resources for families, individualized care coordination and access to specialty care. Services are offered through local public health departments.
The Medicaid Buy-In Program is for working adults with disabilities, 16 and 64 years old, and allows adults with a disability who qualify to "buy-into" Colorado Medicaid. If a person works and earn too much to qualify for Colorado Medicaid you may qualify. If you qualify, you pay a monthly premium. Your monthly premium is based on your income.

The Colorado Step Up Asthma Program is a school-centered asthma program led by Stanley Szefler, MD., Director of the Pediatric Asthma Research Program at Children’s Hospital Colorado. The program is designed to help improve asthma control for students through educational classes, asthma self-management, environmental trigger awareness/reduction and community partnership with health providers. The program is a FREE educational service currently available in Denver, Brighton and Englewood Public Schools. The program focuses on elementary schools with high asthma rates and/or students at risk for health problems.
